99 problems, and a book ain't one

Hello. My name is Tricia, and I have an addiction, an addiction to fiction. Fellow addicts, I welcome you with open arms. Blogger over @ bookwormcoalition.wordpress.com

WOUNDED BY: JASINDA WILDER

Wounded - Jasinda Wilder

Wounded surprised me. I wasn't prepared to enjoy this book as much as I did. I really didn't know anything about it other than the fact that Jasinda Wilder had wrote it, which was enough for me. I've read a few of her other books and really enjoyed them, and the library had this in so I figured why not?

I liked a lot about this book, mainly that it was different. I have yet to read a story line like this, and I really enjoyed that. Rania was unique as well, and had quite a story to tell. She lead a painfully sad and lonely life, and I was completely emersed in her story. Hunter was great as well. They were two great individuals that absolutely shined together. They brought out the best in one another, and it really was beautiful. It was quite a feat too, considering the language barrier, with her speaking Arabic and him English, and neither of them knowing how to decipher each others native tongue. I loved that they worked through that together, and it was one of my favorite little details when he would speak Arabic to her as she spoke in English to him. Each trying to do that for each other to bridge that gap together. I think that alone spoke volumes about how much they cared for one another.

It was a quiet kind of love that built and progressed out of pain and loss. And definitely a Romeo and Juliet kind of theme going on here. This was an enjoyable story from start to finish, and the last few pages nearly made my heart burst!
